Director Biography - Natalie Lauer

Natalie Lauer is the oldest child of a nuclear physicist and an endocrinologist. Her family was helped to immigrate from Russia by the CIA via the paperclip route after the Berlin wall came down in the '90s. Moving from an isolated Moscow apartment with a piano and toy tanks, then to resettle in the middle-of-nowhere Pennsylvania, forced Natalie to live in her imagination more so than reality. Natalie started an indie publishing company in the beginning of a new millenia, and published 13 poetry books. But filmmaking is a different craft, and to climb the learning curve faster Natalie's written and produced a number of short films, followed by a TV pilot and a feature.
