Manuel Siles. Peruvian director, screenwriter and producer.
Director of Lima Independiente International Film Festival. He studied movie workshops with recognized Peruvian film director Armando Robles Godoy. He began his work in Peruvian films as an assistant of different directors. He has worked in different areas of filmmaking such as lighting, sound, art direction and director's assistance. He has won two Award for Best Director (Latino Awards 2016, Marbella, Spain and Encuentro Mundial de Cine 2014, in Denver, USA) and two Awards for Best Screenplay (Latino Awards 2016, Marbella, Spain and Montería International Film Festival 2014, Colombia) for his feature film “Extirpador de Idolatrías - Extirpator of Idolatries” (the film has been selected in forty four [44] international film festivals, won a total of sixteen [16] awards and got five [5] nominations).
