Manikarnika

The experimental film «Manikarnika» is a philosophical reflection on the contemporary problems of intercultural interaction in the multi-polar modern world and the self-identification of the individual in it. Based on documentary shootings and production scenes the film does not follow the established forms of documentary films. The plot of the film is the story of how a European guy comes to the city of Varanasi and tries to find answers to existential questions. The general idea of ​​the film lies in the interpretation of the picture and their varying meanings. The viewer of the film is not offered a one-sided view of the contemporary problem, but he can find his answer by immersing himself in the atmosphere of the film «Manikarnika».
