Malhaar Global Virtual Video Festival is a unique initiative that seeks to bring different kinds of stories and perspectives around the worldwide lockdown in the wake of the CoVid-19 pandemic. The motive was to bring a unified platform to all content creators out there, who have documented their anxieties, hopes, fears, dreams and humanity in this unprecedented time.
Malhaar Global Virtual Video Festival has received over 400 film submissions across 22 countries. The festival will be held from 18 to 27 September, when each of the selected films will be screened.
The festival provides 4 ticketing options with a 24 x 7 access to all the 43+ selected films that will be screened on the Malhaar website for all the 10 days i.e. from 18th to 27th September 2020 and more as per your ticket value.

+ Visibility to producers, acquisition managers, OTT platforms, audience and press
+ Global Marketing and promotion of the film & the filmmaker
+ Filmmaker’s virtual interaction with the live audience about the journey of the film
+ Filmmakers tweet chat with fans and audience at a predetermined date and time
+ Filmmaker of the best film will get an opportunity to develop paid video(s) for Match My
[Talent], subject to mutual agreement
+ Certificates and titles for different categories will be awarded as below
All videos must be in English or have English subtitles.
Content creator to be 18+ years of age
Films must have been completed after January 23, 2020
Match My [Talent] reserves the right in its sole discretion to reject or disqualify any ineligible entries
Each film maker / content creator can submit multiple videos / films across different genres.
ORIGINALITY AND PERMISSIONS; INDEMNITY
Films must be the original work of the applicants. If a film is based upon another person’s life or other underlying work, applicant(s) must secure all necessary rights to use the same. However, it is not necessary to submit the rights / agreements to Malhaar. Neither the Festival nor its jurists investigate or endorse the authenticity of an applicant’s statement of authorship or rights secured. By entering the competition, you represent that you have secured all necessary rights.
Applicants are solely responsible for obtaining all necessary rights and permissions for third-party materials included in their films, including but not limited to music, trademarks, logos, copyrights, and other intellectual property rights. Match My [Talent] expressly disclaims all liability or responsibility for any violations of the foregoing.
SELECTED FILMS AND WINNERS
Match My [Talent] has no obligation (other than as stated in these rules or on our website) to disclose any of the following information: i) identities of screeners or judges; ii) notes, feedback, or information relating to the submitted project; and/or iii) details regarding the submission review or selection process.
Shortlisted entries will be announced between June 24-25, 2020. *subject to change. The judges’ decision is final.
Shortlisted content creators / filmmakers will be given 2-4 days to send with corrections / changes in format or style if any.
SCREENING FORMAT & DATES
Digital screening of each video will be as per the given schedule published before the screening.
Screening of each film will be followed by a live Q&A between the filmmaker and the audience unless the filmmaker chooses out of it via email min 2 days before screening date.
Selected Q&A’s will be followed further on twitter for increased engagement with audience and industry
Tentative dates of Malhaar screenings are 27-28th June *subject to change. Match My [Talent]’ decision will be final.
