Vision:
My work is all about my fascination for light, attention mechanism of the human kind and the theories of perception.
My eyes and my hands work through different processes, this requires me to work within different disciplines and I’m not afraid to combine them. I tend to work with light and manually. This often requires modifications of camera's for photography and film, working with transparent materials, mechanics and electrical work, a lot of patience and careful observation. Installations offer me a way to combine multiple disciplines and skills. Within Film my work tends to be highly experimental while respecting the key components of storytelling.
• -Born In Latvia and moved to the Netherlands in 1996.
• -Started with photography and video in 2002, and has switched to photography only in 2005. Event, product, wedding, sports, portrait and group photography as main occupation.
• -A visual artist within photography, film and 2d/3d/installation work since 2007.
