Luke Hunter is an award-winning British writer and actor born in the steelworking town of Hartlepool in the North East of England. He graduated from Durham University in 2016 with a Master’s in Biology and Chemistry; whilst there he created several short films and fell in love with writing. Luke moved to London in 2017 where he spent a year working in TV as a researcher for MTV, October Films and ITN. Since 2018 Luke has been a full-time screenwriter, represented by Jonathan Sieff at Screen Talent, specializing in thriller/horror features.
In his free-time, Luke enjoys poker, climbing, reading post-modern books he can’t understand and playing League of Legends. He also runs a satirical news tiktok @yahboynews with 115,000 followers and over 120 million views.
Luke has worked extensively as a writer-for-hire, creating three feature length scripts from outlines for three production companies:
