Luis A. Marcano is a versatile screenwriter, director, producer, and actor with 25 years of experience in theater and film productions. He made his debut in the theater world with the play V.I.D.A in 1997, which he wrote, produced, and directed.
In 2010, he showcased his acting talent in the series Zona Y, which aired on Telemundo Puerto Rico and later on Univision Puerto Rico. Marcano wrote and directed the feature film Todo x Sara (2014), which was screened at Caribbean Cinemas in Puerto Rico.
His script El Asopao Caliente earned him second place in the Script Contest at the Puerto Rico Horror Film Fest 2016. In 2018, he wrote and directed the short film Ana Julia, which received the Best Editing Award at the MABO 2018 Short Film Festival in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. The film was selected for various international and local festivals, including the Lusca Film Fest 2018 and the Rincón International Film Festival 2020, and was broadcast on TV Cortos and ShortsTV worldwide.
Currently, he is collaborating as a screenwriter on the film Escape Inutil (2025), filmed in Puerto Rico, and is developing additional projects that reflect his unique storytelling style.
