Director: Kelly D. Martínez Quiles
A young and talented woman on the rising, Kelly graduated from college in 2013 with high honors with a Bachelor's Degree in Arts in Communications and specialties in Radio and Video Production. During her tenure in college, she produced the award winning (People's Choice) advertising video "Sin identidad no eres nadie" (Without Identity you're Nobody) for the Puerto Rico Financial Video Awareness Contest held by the Puerto Rico Bankers Association. Kelly also created and produced "Radio on Air", a live event for the Communications Department of the Universidad del Turabo in which the college radio productions gathered and promote their respective shows.
Outside college she created her company, KD Multimedia and recently she teamed up with Eric Fernández and Kervin Machuca to create "We Imagine", a creative collective group to produce radio, video and indy film productions. Under her company and the creative group, Kelly wrote and directed the short films "Casualidad o Destino" (Casualty or Destiny), "Start Over" and "Love at First Sight". Kelly also produced and did Director of Photography duties in the short films "Live as a Kid" and "Yo Era.." (I was...) directed by Eric Fernández. She co-directed with Eric Fernández the music video "Baba Gris" for local band Trashumantes.
With more projects ahead, Kelly is definitely with a busy schedule, but most importantly, she's becoming one of Puerto Rico's young filmmakers in the rising.
