What Can the Suburbs Learn from the City?
We were curious about urbanization and the public transportation system in Mexico City, because we knew it is a huge city. We also knew how much pollution is caused by traffic and cars. We were amazed by the public transportation system in Mexico and how they have a culture of carpooling and taking buses. This made us look at our school in a different way and helped us realize that we are causing a lot of pollution in our air because of how many cars come through the school. We were inspired to create this video to create an impact on our school. We want to have more people take buses and carpool so we create less pollution. Mexico has a great system of public transportation and we want to create the same in our community.
Nosotros teníamos curiosidad por la urbanización y el sistema de transporte público en la ciudad de México porque nosotros sabíamos que es una ciudad enorme. También, nosotros sabíamos cuánta contaminación hay a causa del tráfico y los carros. Nos sorprendió a nosotros el sistema de transporte público en México y cómo tienen una cultura de compartir carros y tomar el transporte público. Esto nos hizo ver a nuestra escuela de una manera diferente y nos ayudó a darnos cuenta de que estamos causando mucha contaminación en nuestro aire por nuestros carros en la escuela. Nosotros nos inspiramos a crear este video para crear un impacto en nuestra escuela. Nosotros queremos que más personas tomen autobuses y compartan los carros para que nosotros creemos menos contaminación. Investigando el gran sistema de transporte publico de Mexico nos hizo querer crear lo mismo en nuestra comunidad.
