Allan Dransfield is a British designer, photographer and videographer, born in Yorkshire, England.
He graduated from Coventry University with a Master of Automotive Design in 2004, since which his 12 year career as a car designer has taken him around the world and challenged him to solve creative problems from a range of technical, social and cultural perspectives. This background has sculpted his passion for visual communication, storytelling and cultural mapping which has ultimately led to the creation of 'lifekollektiv' - a multi-disciplinary travel 'channel' and creative platform. The content is based on recycling material that surrounds us everyday, exploring the spectrum where sound, motion and still meet and twisting it into different artistic forms - often through collaborations with artists that Allan meets on the road. The aim is to bridge the gap between the art world and the general public through engaging universal ideas.
Allan has received several international photography decorations including IPA and Wanderlust photo of the year and has been a guest speaker at several creative conferences including Brno's UNSEEN design fesitval and the Yangon edition of BARCAMP.
He is currently based between Łodź Poland and Berlin Germany.
