Director Statement

I was compelled to direct this short film for multiple reasons. As an aspiring Producer and Production Manager, I have always wanted to discover the art of screenwriting. The events are a spin on a real experience, which sparked my initial desire to tell this story. I wanted this story to reflect the solitude that my generation has faced, both because of Covid-19, and the rise of social media which has caused us to be more distant in "real" life. Having gone through Covid lockdown during my student years, I find that this theme is relatable not only to our entire generation, but to younger and older generations as well. I was fortunate to be able to make this film with a very minimal budget as I was surrounded by an extremely creative and passionate team, including cast and crew who gave it their all. Thanks to this, I was able to dedicate my entire budget to craft services, art direction, and equipment transportation.
