Le Mani nel Sacco: the fish rots from the head down
The Sacco's valley (ITALY), its lands, rivers and population have been victims for decades of contaminations caused by intense industrial activity, illegal landfills and the indiscriminate use of beta-hexachlorocyclohexane, whose production was only banned in 2001. While the reclamation and the process are still ongoing, this documentary - winner of the second edition of the #diPubblicoDominio Journalism Award - reconstructs the history of Colleferro, the epicenter of beta-hexachlorocyclohexane pollution.
______
the documentary was filmed in 10 days, with no budget, between the cities affected by the contamination, before the covid pandemic.
