Leah is interested in stories that portray empathetic characters and explore the complexities of family dynamics. Her script for BRAVE LITTLE HAWK made it to the quarterfinals in both the ScreenCraft Film Fund and the Outstanding Screenplays Shorts Competition. She was selected as one of three recipients to receive the 2022 University of Film and Video Faculty Research Award Grant sponsored by the University of Film and Video Association to support postproduction work on BRAVE LITTLE HAWK.
Bedrosian Peterson’s stop motion animation, UNDER THE WALNUT TREE was awarded the “Director’s Choice Award” at the Black Maria Film Festival, awarded “Audience Favorite” at the Florida Animation Festival, nominated for the “Women’s Film Critic Choice Award” at the Socially Relevant Film Festival, and nominated for “Best Short Animation” by the Arpa International Film Festival.
Bedrosian Peterson is chair and professor of the Film and Video Arts Department at Lycoming College. She received her MFA from Tufts University and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and her BFA from Pratt Institute.
