Director Statement

I experience a refreshing identity crisis any time I stay in a hotel room. The chance to find myself in a space that has been designed to feel ubiquitously comfortable presents stark contrast to every little wrinkle I make in the space. These rooms can also be the scenes of crisis moments and turning points in my relationships with the people I’m sharing this rented location with. They, too, wear the evidence of my influence.

In LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE, a head trauma survivor returns to the scene of his injury and a man confesses a consequential and impulsive gaffe. In both segments, characters seek to make sense of their trauma, but find themselves locked in a dissonance between their internal monologues and physical bodies.
