SYNOPSIS
Karla, who is around 14 years old, wants to apply for a
short-term painting course (summer school) abroad. For the
selection process, candidates are required to draw a
painting based on a specific question. The question that
comes to Karla’s mind is "WHO AM I". To find a suitable
answer and a theme for her drawing, Karla visits her aunt on
an island for a single day. Her aunt has organized an event
on the island day and invited a few friends to help her with
this.
During her journey to the island and her stay there, Karla
carefully observes everything, including the people she
meets, their relationships, the theater performance at the
event, and the live music performance. Despite her
observations, she struggles to find an impactful theme and
cannot draw the drawing she desires.
After the event, while everyone thinks Karla is lost, she
goes to an abandoned village on the island with a young man
who doesn’t speak to anyone. In her mind, she imagines the
stories of the villagers who left and their empty houses,
which leaves a significant impact on her.
Returning late at night to her aunt’s house, Karla learns
that everyone was worried about her and searching for her.
That night, a dinner table is set at her aunt’s house, and
people celebrate life in a warm atmosphere.
The next morning, Karla wakes up to find a watercolor set on
the stool next to her bed. Having always drawn with
charcoal, Karla is inspired by her experiences and deeply
felt emotions on the island to finally create the desired
painting using watercolors. However, despite achieving this,
she decides not to go abroad...
