The ShortFilmFestival Diessen am Ammersee is a 3-day festival of short films and documentaries located on the west side of lake Ammersee near Munich, Bavaria, Germany.
The 8th biennial Festival will run October 2018 with a program of over 40 films, jury and audience awards and parties.
We encourage submissions of any genre from first-time filmmakers through to established professionals.
We do not give priority to premieres nor films with a successful screening record - all are welcome.

Submit the film or the screenplay via the Filmfreeway.com or a vimeo link.
If selected as a participant please deliver the film in format requested by deadline set at time of acceptance.

Completion date does not influence the submission selection.
-Please make sure that your submission includes the following: Director Photography, Director Statement, Film Synopsis, Director Biography as these are needed to produce the Film Festival Catalogue.
Your film must have GERMAN subtitles!
Entry does not guarantee acceptance into the festival. Submissions WILL NOT be returned.
- The sender of the submitted film is responsible for all copyrights. The applicant is legally authorized to enter the film in the festival and, if selected for the festival, authorized to give screening permission.
-If selected for the festival the applicant acknowledges and agrees that the film will be displayed in front of a live audience paying entry-fees.

    I cannot comment on the Networking section because we could sadly not attend, but the program directors were so receptive and accommodating from awaiting a subtitled version of the film to updating the program to correct a missing name. My only regret is being unable to attend and greeting the stunning talent there present.
