KRIM

In a dystopian vision of the future, a mysterious secret
agent is lost on a mission. When her commanding division picks her up again, they perform a series of tests in a harsh government facility.

They find something’s missing from her memories, a new
objective that she is determined to keep to herself.
A manipulative game of questions and answers evolves.
KRIM is a transhumanist sci-fi thriller that asks how far we are willing to go.

It questions the human tendency to authoritarian structures,
explores technological advances impacting the nature of
conflicts and what freedom means to the individual identity.

Director - Manuel Hüttner
Director Statement

With the Sci-Fi short film project „KRIM“, 31 years old Manuel Hüttner made his debut by directing his first serious work in the short film segment. Without any academic background he gained experience by creating experimental films and music videos, also getting in touch with people from the commercial industry.
After producing jingles and audio for documentaries together with composer Valentin Milan Grbić for two years, he set up his own business and launched an agency, mainly working as a screenwriter or director for online commercials. Together with colleague, cinematographer and producer Martin Reicht they decided to work on independent film projects, combining their skills and love for moving images.
