Kimia Eyzad Panah was born 1990 in Teheran (Iran) and wrote stories from an early age. In 7th grade she already wrote science-fiction stories for the successful scientific schoolbook “Together with science“.
In 9th grade Eyzad Panah shot her first short film „C for Cheating“ and was awarded the prize for “Best Film” at the student film festival in Teheran. She studied Communication Science, completing courses in directing and screenplay writing, in addition to others.
In 2011 she emigrated to Germany and has been studying Visual Communication since 2013, specializing in Film and Television at the University of Arts in Kassel. Her short films with a focus on human- and women’s rights were shown at international film festivals and awarded prizes like “Outstanding Achievement Award” and “Best Women’s Film”.
