Khajuraho after Taj, is the most frequently visited monument in India. Khajuraho is an unique example of Indo_ARyan architecture. IT IS well known all over the world for its temple, architecture and exquisite sculpture. the temples were built between the 9th and 11th centuries by the warrior kings of the Chandela dynasty.

It is believed that 85temples were built out of which 25still remain in varying degrees of preservation.

The very name khajuraho, according to Alexander Cunningham, has been derived from "khajoor" the date plam tress.

Chandela are one of the Rajput clans who claim to be the decendants of Chandra Kula, (moon born).
The powerful kings of the chandella dynasty ruled over central part of India for about five centuries beginning from 9th century ad.

The group of temples of khajuraho is a brilliant example of indo Aryan style of temple architecture, this large one compact group of temples has certainly some of the finest and most elegant specimen of medieval temple architecture.

Khajuraho sculpture is the brilliant illustration of Hindu iconography. Enormous, gracious and fascinating images of varied categories have been lavishly chiseled both on the exterior and interior.

Kalingar, the fortified city near khajuraho was a big Centre of tantric practices. Tantric, believed in amalgamation of Sex, into religion and stressed on sexual practices as religious ritual.

This documentary is made not to hurt any ones sentiment or religious beliefs but through the work of art of Indian mythology, we wish to portray the essence and smell of rich Indian tales of forbidden "KAMASUTRA"

Director Biography - Amrit Sinha & Anand Dasgupta

The duo of Anand Dasgupta and amrit Sinha, both are Indian independent filmmakers from Mumbai.
They have worked together under the patronage of tanayfilms international banner and have successfully completed many successful projects together.
Their recent work "A soul that beats"
Is doing rounds very well at prestigious film festivals globally, and will be screened at Taiwan international flim festival early next year.
Apart from shorts, documentaries the duo has worked in bollywood films together.
