Georges Abi Ramia:
My name is George Abi Ramia, and I'm a 29-year-old filmmaker from Ehmej, Lebanon. I graduated from AUL Kaslik University in 2017 with a degree in radio tv and films. Currently, I work in the field of wedding and advertising photography, but my true passion lies in capturing authentic and realistic stories through documentaries.
Throughout my career, I have had several small-scale experiences, but my collaborative work with Sara Aboud on the documentary film "Kaab El-Day'a" stands out. We were both committed to portraying the authenticity, truth, and simplicity of the individuals living in this village.
"Kaab El-Day'a" delves into the lives of the people in the village, showcasing their daily struggles, aspirations, and the rich cultural heritage they hold. Our aim was to present a realistic and honest portrayal of their lives, shedding light on their stories and creating a connection with the audience.
I believe that documentaries have the power to bridge gaps, raise awareness, and evoke empathy. Through my work, I strive to capture the essence of real-life experiences and convey them in a thought-provoking and engaging manner.
I am deeply passionate about storytelling through the medium of documentaries, and I am eager to continue exploring new narratives and capturing the raw beauty of human existence.
