He has submitted a 16mm film he made during university school to the Mediawave Festival in Hungary. Experimental film ”In the Darkness of the Space” won the grand prize at Nara Avant-garde Film Festival and was specially screened at the Image Forum Festival.
Since then, 5 of his documentary films “Belgrade1999”, “Muneo-ism” and “Imperial” "A Man Who Became Cinema" "Mlabri in the Woods" has been theatrical released across Japan including Tokyo,Osaka,Nagoya and Yokohama and so on.
"Mlabri in the Woods" was introduced at Cambodia International Film Festival and screened at various international film festivals. "Film Fetish" had its world premiere at International Film Festival Rotterdam and then screened at Jeonju Intetnatinal Film Festival and Bangkok Experimantal Film Festival 7.
He has written books: “Forklore in Borderland”, “Literature in Foreign Land”, “Boundary of Images : Art Film and World Cinema”, “Documentary Film Method”. He won the Suntory Academic Awards with his book “Boundary of Images”.

Throughout his career, he has worked as a documentary film festival programmer, and a university and vocational school lecturer.
