Born in 2002 and raised in Natore, Jubayer Ahmed is a Bangladeshi filmmaker and storyteller with a vision to champion sustainable development, environmental justice, and global peace. As a student of journalism and media communication at Green University, Jubayer has cultivated his passion for storytelling through both academic and creative pursuits.
Jubayer’s documentary film "Slang: Rohingya Narrative" stands as a testament to his ability to tackle sensitive and impactful topics. By exploring the transformation of the term 'Rohingya' into widespread slang, the film questions societal attitudes toward the Rohingya crisis. Praised by the UNHCR in Bangladesh and selected for the 10th Dhaka International Mobile Film Festival, it highlights Jubayer's dedication to combining media with meaningful advocacy.
In addition to filmmaking, Jubayer enjoys poetry, recitation, and exploring vintage aesthetics like old songs and moonlit nights. With an insatiable curiosity and a desire to learn, Jubayer aims to create impactful films that resonate personally and globally, telling stories that matter.
