John Winston Phillips is an American/Canadian (native of Raleigh, North Carolina) filmmaker, composer and sound designer. As a graduate in Electroacoustic Music from Concordia University in Montreal, John has since become a self-taught filmmaker whose interest lies in creating exploratory horror films through the use of older analog film formats such as Super 8 and 16mm, and minimalism, slowness, ambiguity and hand-crafted filmmaking run throughout his work. His current films, both made and in production include Wendy Certain (2017), The Sanguinary Circle (2020), Curse The Bang Bang Children (2020) and Tripping Through The Melee (2021).
