I believe in combining craft, emotion and bold ideas to create films that mean something.
James Arden, aka The Trash Factory, is an award-winning director based in London working across music videos, commercials and short films.
His work combines a dark, surreal touch and emotionally-driven storytelling with an intoxicating style. He is interested in exploring people - what drives us, both good and bad - through narratives that are cinematic, seductive and sometimes violent.
He has screened at festivals including Aesthetica Short Film Festival and London Short Film Festival, venues including the BFI and the ICA, and been nominated for Best Director at the Kinsale Shark Awards.
His debut narrative film, LEOPARD, made with support from ARRI & Framestore, is out to festivals and picking up multiple Best Film awards.
