Jake Muñoz Consing is a 22-year old Filipino filmmaker based in Cavite. He is an alumnus of the Ricky Lee Screenwriting Workshop and a Summa Cum Laude Communication graduate from the Ateneo De Manila University. He is the co-founder of Seiga Productions, a Philippine-based independent production house for advertisements and films. His films mostly tackle the queer experience, family, mental health, and social issues. His college graduation film Write Here (2022) competed for the Iris Prize in the UK, was included in the Official Selection of BFI Flare and the LA Asian Pacific Film Festival, and was nominated for Best Short Film at the 70th FAMAS Awards, the Philippines' oldest film award giving body. Lingkis (2021), an alternative animated short documentary he produced and wrote, was included in the Official Selection of Interfilm Berlin. His one-minute comedy sophomore short Dildo (2021) was selected for festivals such as Outfest LA, winning the Jury Prize at Outfest Fusion’s one-minute movie competition. He is currently developing his next short film, The Blind Man at the End of the World, for which won the Mentorship Award as part of the Pitching Lab of the Drama International Short Film Festival in Greece.
