Jake Muñoz Consing is a director and writer from Cavite, Philippines. He is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Ateneo de Manila University with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication, where he also received the Loyola Schools Award for the Arts in Directing. He is also an alumnus of the Ricky Lee Screenwriting Workshop. His filmography includes short films such as Retaso (2024), Write Here (2022), Dildo (2021), and Lingkis (Writer, 2021) which have competed in international and local film festivals such as BFI Flare, NewFest, Outfest LA, the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, the New York International Children’s Film Festival, Interfilm Berlin, Gawad Alternatibo, the FAMAS Awards, among others. He is currently in post-production for his next short The Blind Man at the End of the World which won the Stathis Paraskevopoulos Award from the pitching lab of the Drama International Short Film Festival in Greece. More than anything, his works seek to connect intimately and to resonate universally.
