Director Statement

This promo is supposed to make the audience ask "who, what, and why". The film revolves around a girl who finds refuge in playing a virtual reality game called Summit. It is essentially a combination of the Hunger Games and Ready Player One where the player is transported into a "map". I took a lot of consideration when color grading. I didn't want to use a red tone for the fight scene because the game is supposed to be a place of solace for the girl, despite it being very violent. The color in the beginning of the film was very muted because the regular world is supposed to be bland. The orange and blue tint represents warmth and comfort that she feels playing the game. Not to mention, she wears white shoes to represent "good" but still some corruption, and the other character wears all black so that the audience can side with the girl even though they don't know her background.
