Director Biography - Xavi Tello

Xavi Tello is an off road videomaker, producer, diver and musician, now inside a digital trip in to the digital marketing, growth hacking & videomarketing.

He has worked for ten year making english war documentaries of WW2, advertising, web series and video content for promotion.

He has also produced 'Colors Notes' (2011) and the first underwater non verbal film 'Hydro' (2014), made under Creative Commons licenses with the work of 56 underwater filmmakers and filmed at 27 countries.

Director Statement

After two years of promotion my last film Hydro, that it was selected and exhibited at 22 festival world wide, and it won two awards, I've found the need of studying Digital Marketing process to redirect traffic to a web to promote a work, monetize services or distribute products.

Nowadays you have to think about keep some money to make digital promotion of your works, without festival fees, advertising, trailers ,etc (50% of the budget?) if you want to get more audience. I want to test Digital Marketing techniques ,Social Media strategies and Video marketing to promote this documentary.

It was inspired by Morgan Spurlock's films 'Super Size Me' (2004) , 'The greatest movie ever sold' (2011) and Nouvelle Vague film 'Chronique d'un été' (1961) directed by Réalisé par Jean Rouch Edgar Morin
