We are bringing together two of the greatest inventions of the modern era: sports and cinema. In the historic city of Istanbul, sports lovers, cinema lovers, directors, producers, athletes, actors, and actresses will gather for this festival.

The Istanbul Sports Film Festival, which will be held in Istanbul, a part of Europe’s sports heritage, aims to serve as a platform for the creation of new films. take your place at the festival to be part of this unique experience.

Competitions will be held in the categories of short films and documentaries, and awards will be given to the winning films.

Additionally, a selection of films chosen by the jury will be screened for the audience.

ISFF, open to artists from all around the world, also aims to offer a unique experience with various events focused on sports.

1-Short fiction films and documentary films are eligible to apply.
2-Fiction films submitted to the competition must not exceed 20 minutes.
3-Documentary films submitted to the competition must not exceed 40 minutes.
4-A director or producer may submit no more than 2 films.
5-Films completed after January 1 2020 are eligible to be submitted to the competition.
6-The submission deadline is January 31, 2025.
7-English text will be required from the finalist films.
8-All submitted films must have English subtitles.
9-The festival organization will invite the directors of the finalist films to Istanbul. However, payment of expenses is not guaranteed and will be announced later.
10-The jury may also grant a special award if considered necessary.
11-All copyright responsibilities belongs to the filmmaker.
12-Finalist films will be screened in the following formats: DCP and MP4.
13-Finalist films will be announced on February 21, 2025.
14-All submissions following the above rules will be accepted.
