Remember Isobel
All her life, Cathryn Bailey has seen herself as extremely lucky. She has a beautiful, passionate wife (Helen Martin), two energetic, life-loving sons, and a mother (Isobel Bailey) who has been not only present but a key participant in every major moment of Cate's life. No matter what, Isobel has always found a way to lift her daughter up and instill a sense of indomitable strength in her family. When Isobel is diagnosed with Alzheimer's though, her ability to fulfill her role as matriarch and caregiver begins to unravel, and Cate suddenly finds herself struggling to care for everyone on top of enduring the slow heartbreak of watching her mother deteriorate before her eyes. Helen, the boys, Cate's brothers...everyone tries to find a way to help Cate with Isobel in their own way but, in the end, no one knows how to let this magnificent woman go. All they can really do is try to love the person that remains in the wake of this treacherous disease and always REMEMBER ISOBEL.

Barbulesco-Lamb began making films in high school and continued to produce throughout college and thereafter. While a film and English double major at UC Davis, Barbulesco-Lamb produced In the Wings, a dance docu-drama starring WWE wrestler John Morrison (then known as John Hennigan). In 2006, Barbulesco-Lamb created Living Now, a story about an eclectic family dealing with a variety of challenges, one being raising a child with Muscular Dystrophy. In 2010, Barbulesco-Lamb began her work on Remember Isobel, first raising funding and then producing a play version that ran on the stage in 2012-2013, ultimately completing the film in 2018. The film details the trials of losing a grandparent (Isobel) to Alzheimer's and features an LGBT storyline as Isobel's daughter Cate is married to a woman named Helen. In addition to being a filmmaker, Barbulesco-Lamb owns and operates a small private school in the Sacramento area where 6th-12th grade students enjoy an individualized curriculum with an arts and science emphasis.
"Remember Isobel is the work of my heart. It is a tribute to my grandmother who suffered from Alzheimer's disease and my grandfather whose display of compassion and humanity in caring for grandma, to me, seems unparalleled. My grandfather is my personal hero and I hope that, through telling this story, I am able to educate the public about Alzheimer's as well as provide some catharsis and understanding for those who are going through this struggle with a family member or friend."
