Sigurd Kølster is a Danish filmmaker. He first discovered his love for cinema as a child, filming his family with home video cameras and mobile phones. Kølster began his professional career working on Scandinavian television series such ‘The Killing’, ‘The Bridge’, and ‘Borgen’ as director’s assistant. He has since written and directed several short films, eventually obtaining his degree from the National Film & Television School in London. After living abroad in England, France, Italy and Portugal, Kølster is currently back home in his native Denmark working on his debut feature film.
