THE FESTIVAL
The INTERNATIONAL SURF FILM FESTIVAL is about films which must be related to SURFING. They can be of any genre or topic (action, environmental, societal, etc.).
The festival takes place right next to the beaches of Chambre d’Amour in ANGLET, France, with 2 sites offering open-air surf film screenings, art exhibitions, and concerts. Admission is entirely free and open to all. Every year since 2010, over four days, Anglet hosts one of the main cultural events dedicated to surfing, bringing together amateurs and professionals to celebrate the year’s best cinematographic achievements.
Since its creation, nearly 400 films have been presented at the festival, offering each year an international overview of the most stunning images from the surfing world. An international jury, made up of surfing and media personalities, will award 7 winners during the closing ceremony.

OUR STORY
The INTERNATIONAL SURF FILM FESTIVAL was built around a strong objective: to recognize the artistic value of surf films and to allow as many people as possible to discover them. Faced with the growing creativity of filmmakers worldwide and the previous lack of exposure for this type of film in Europe, the “surf film” deserved a cultural and artistic event of its own. Over 20 years, the festival has progressively established itself as such.
The quality and diversity of the films presented each year offer a rich variety of images and stories from the surfing world, making this event an unmissable highlight of the season. Created by Bruno Delaye Production and now organized by Anglet Côte Basque, the festival remains entirely free and open to all, providing a moment of exchange and conviviality.
