Moments of Danger
Iki, a territorial militant, is shot three times in the moments of greatest tension in contemporary Argentine history: in 2001, 2002 and 2016. However, none of them kill him. His story reflects a series of moments of danger. Between collective performance, territorial activism and personal experiences, this film is woven that addresses the personal and political commitment of a leader of the social movements.

Santiago Canción is a visual artist, teacher and audiovisual producer. He has received scholarships and distinctions from different institutions in the field of art and culture. He has exhibited at Biennials, Festivals and Universities in Spain, Mexico, Latvia, Canada, the United States and Argentina. Among his film works, “Kipu- Construcciones Colectivas” stands out, made together with workers from Villa Soldati. He is currently developing his first feature film about the Armenian genocide.
Moments of Danger is an experimental documentary that works in three types of registers: the testimonial voice, archival material and visual performance, being constructed as a hybrid work between the scenic and the audiovisual. The performative register allows the viewer to enter a close scene, such as the piquetero movement, but with the necessary distance to see beyond the image. Music or silence completes the sensation of court with the cinematographic documentary record. During the performance, different women weave and organize a 100-meter-long white cloth, which allows us to remember the absences along the way of thinking about our own history, joining the popular imagination, as were the weavers in the San Martino army.
