Leonardo Re has always been fascinated by moving pictures and sounds, which is why he cares immensely for precise sound design and emotionally engaging music when making films. He tries to create new audio-visual worlds by creatingcarefully chosen soundscapes.
His experimental short film “Wasser” received the highly-acclaimed “Prädikat besonders wertvoll” of the German Film Rating Agency. His authentic comedy “Conversations with Gunter Gelb”, a flashback to those black-and-white 60s talk shows has been nominated for the German Youth Film Award and the German Newcomer Award.
He is working as a producer and director at an advertising agency since 2014 and also lectures at universities.
