Imitative Magic

The adventure of Cadence, all around amazing woman, and super fan to two amazing paranormal detectives in Calgary Alberta Canada. Her two heroes, Detectives Beefart and Cheenkaw go missing right in the middle of a strange string of mysterious murders. No one seems to be able to find them, or stop the deaths from happening. That's when Cadence becomes increasingly fed up with people's inability to get up and take a stand for what's right. She takes it upon herself to not only find Beefart and Cheenkaw, but while at it, hopefully put an end to these bizarre killings. The only person who seems to want to help her is her mail man Bert. Ghosts, Egyptian Gods, and a retirement home help make this a horror / comedy / romance / adventure you will never forget.

Director Statement

Imitative Magic is not only a story of friendship and fandom, but it about people's reluctance to do the things they want to do with their life because they are too scared about money or how they might be seen in society's eyes. I have seen too many of my colleagues in the film and music industry give up on fantastic ideas because they thought there wasn't enough funding for the things they want to do. I have always been a firm believer that with hard work and dedication, anything can be accomplished regardless of money. In the film, Cadence represents the hope and spirit of adventure and the belief that anything is possible.
