Born in Sciacca (Agrigento) in 1973, as a boy he is passionate about cinema and is interested in video shooting, working in local television stations.
In 1997 he moved to Florence to attend a private cinema school, the Imagina school. After the course of study, he remains in the school as a teacher for editing and filming, an activity he still does.
In the field of teaching, he knows his wife, who is also passionate about cinema and who helps him on the set of his works.
In his works, for the most part set in Sicily, social issues are often tackled that touch ordinary people, narrated with great sensitivity and simplicity. Through his visual stories, reality and dream come together, transporting the viewer into a dreamlike dimension that is often ironic and always full of emotion.
He has made numerous short films, some of which are winners of national festivals and chosen for passages in Rai La7. He also makes four feature-length features on a zero budget, using non-professional actors and ordinary people:
"Pupi di zucchero" projected in some cinemas in Sicily.
"Ritorno al mare" (2011), in 2012 he was selected at Valdarno Cinema Fedic and at the Kimera Film Fest, both international festivals. It has also been screened in several national cinemas.
"Sole Giallo" (2014), winner of the award for best actress at the Pathological Festival in Rome. Selected at the international Overlook festival in Rome.
