Ileka Ruwanpathirana is a Sri Lankan upcoming filmmaker. She obtained her primary and secondary schooling in a provincial school and went on to study Mass Communication at the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka where she was awarded a second class honors degree in 2016. She started reading for her MPhil in Film Marketing and Public Relations at University of Kelaniya in 2017. She has been involved in journalism from a young age and has many experiences in different fields like newspaper, television, radio, commercials, and Local and foreign film productions. She has worked with renowned film directors and production companies in the world.
