Ilea Alfaro (pronounced eye-lee-ah) was born in Fremont , California to a Filipina mother and an American Father. She had a strong Asian influence growing up as she comes from mixed heritage, Filipina/American, and spent her early childhood in Japan. She is a Stand Up Comic/ Writer and Actress. Not only has she performed at famous clubs like the Laugh Factory, Flappers and The Comedy Store, she is the star of the Internationally Popular Web-Series Kiss Her I'm Famous. The second season of the series was such a hit, it landed Mrs. Matthews on the cover of Curve Magazine. Her celebrity doesn't stop there. Mrs. Alfaro appeared in the film The Violent Kind, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2010, where Image Entertainment bought the distribution rights. To date, Mrs. Alfaro has been seen across the United States and the United Kingdom.
Ilea has been pursuing acting since high school. After beginning her study at San Francisco State University and receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Theater at California State University Sacramento, she supported her career as a Professional Photographer who ran her own business. After graduation, she shifted her focus to Film and Television. She has starred in several web series including The Newer Girl and EXIT Stage Left. Her numerous films include Ashley, Babysplitters, and Julie and Jack. Short film titles include Service Please, Pandora and 8 Guns Over a Dead Girl. Let's not forget Prime Time Television, where she Guest Starred on Major Crimes. You can also catch her on The Flight Attendant and Better Things.
Ever busy, Mrs. Alfaro is continually working on her Stand Up, a never-ending process and has just completed writing two television pilots.
