Fantasy has been a constant in my life, weaving multiple universes in my mind. After the success of my first children’s short film, Vida and the Chocolate Cake, I felt a strong motivation to explore stories for an adult audience. Thus was born the idea of delving into a dark, nostalgic realm that explores the depths of the human soul. A story of love, loss, and dispossession. Venancio inhabits a mobile cart, his refuge and a tribute to the great master, Hayao Miyazaki. Inspired by Howl's Moving Castle, this film seeks to capture the magic and hope of his stories. Venancio's memories evoke those of my grandmother. I believe that Venancio's moon is my moon, my haven of peace and serenity, where I become a child again and ask my grandmother's permission to go out and play.
