The Hollywood Dreamz International Film Festival and Writers Event is dedicated to the movement, the language and the power of Film, Video and the Written Word. Film is a powerful tool that crosses all boundaries and languages and connects people universally. It is through film that cultures can be united and HDIFF is at the forefront to helping this happen. HDIFF believes that diversity is what makes a festival complete. We embrace and honor filmmakers and writers of ALL genres , budgets, backgrounds, cultures, lifestyles and ages. In short, we want to celebrate it all. Drama, Documentary, Experimental, Comedy, Animation, Horror and Family films will all have a home at Hollywood Dreams International Film Festival and Writers Event.
HDIFF is the sister festival to the long running Action on Film Festival which has grown to be one of the largest and well respected festivals. Although this is our inaugural event, it will be filled with special events, seminars, symposiums celebrities, parties and of course top-notch screenings and screenplays. It will be done with beauty, pageantry, and professionalism. And it is in Vegas Baby!!!!
Award winners receive their awards at our gala black tie Star Studded and Industry Rich Award Show and Dinner and at our Writers Award show and Dinner. Cash prizes, production packages, software and more will be given.
Every accepted submitting filmmaker in attendance receives an incredible Goodie Bag and Free Passes to all Film Events and Free Drink and Dinner Mixers, Symposiums, Interviews and lots more.
Hollywood Dreamz International Film Festival and Writers Event will be doing interviews of attending filmmakers and give them to you for free or post them on our site. These interviews are great promotional pieces for your website, film, video, short, script.
Did we mention that HDIFF has a film market with some of the most reputable distributors in the business . The market will be open to all accepted filmmakers.

HDIFF Winners receive prize packages in every category that include Free HDIFF Ticket Packages, Cash or Sponsor Packages from companies like Write Bros, Pond5, Boris FX, Quick Film Budget, Stella Adler, Professional Training Scholarships and Equipment Rental Packages. In addition ALL HDIFF Division Winners Receive beautiful Awards at the Star and Industry Packed Black Tie Dinner and Award Show. Participation in the HDIFF Award Show is not necessary to win. Cash Award Value: 500 U.S. Dollar Value of Goods/Services: 2,500 U.S. Dollar This prize is shared with other categories.
We are Accepting submissions for feature Narrative and Documentary, short Narrative and Documentary. Shorts will play prior to a feature or in a shorts program. All genres are welcome. The festival programming staff will place your film in the appropriate category.
All entries will be judged on content, creativity, imagery, story and skill of the filmmaker. Productions produced from 2011 to July 2018 may be submitted. Works in progress will be accepted. Online screeners, DVDs (NTSC Region 1), Blue Rays are accepted for submission and for consideration by the Selection Committee.
PAL SYSTEM IS NOT ACCEPTED.
All Accepted Films must be submitted on MPEG4 and DVD (NTSC Region 1) or Blu-Ray (Region 1) for Exhibition. 2 Copies will be required.
We will NOT accept online Films for exhibition screening.
PAL system is NOT accepted.

All entries must be sent to the Hollywood Dreamz FIlm Festival prepaid and, for your own protection, should be insured. Videos, DVDs , Blue- Rays, DCPs submitted will not be returned. If Submitting DCP, back-up Discs are still required. Screening times are dependent upon receipt of the screeners (MPEG4 and 1 disc (DVD or Blue ray. )
Films selected for the Hollywood Dreamz will be announced no later than August 10, 2018 (exceptions may be made if deemed necessary by HDIFF).
Every Entry must include an Electronic Press Kit and Downloadable Trailer.
All presentation materials (posters, post cards, goody bag promos) and screening materials for the Hollywood Dreamz Film Festival must arrive at the festival Offices no later than August 11, 2018.
ALL ACCEPTED SUBMISSIONS MUST provide MPEG4 film File and 2 Screening DVDs (NTSC Region 1) or 2 Blu-Rays for exhibition. Screening times will not be given until the MPEG4 file and the screening Disc are received.
If sending DCP, Please Note that the Theater charges the filmmaker an Ingestion Fee. If sending a DCP we will still require 2 back up DVDs or Blu-Rays.
DCPS must be logged out, signed for and picked up after your screening. WE DO NOT RETURN/SHIP screening materials.
PAL Formatted discs will not be accepted.
We will NOT accept online screeners for exhibition purposes.
Please notify us by email of any address changes.
Failure to provide screening materials will result in disqualification and the film being pulled from screening.
Please note The HDIFF will NOT return or ship materials back to the submitter once the festival has commenced (this includes DVDs, Blu-Rays , DCPs, posters, postcards or promo materials)

All accepted filmmakers, who have submitted/mailed in all necessary materials and Screeners, will be placed on the Website before the event. Submitting filmmakers acknowledge they have the legal right to exhibit the film and the collateral/promo materials at the HDIFF.
Hollywood Dreamz International Film Festival is hereby granted the right to utilize footage and promotional materials supplied by the submitting agent from any film submitted and accepted film, video, or project for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes. All accepted filmmakers agree that the Hollywood Dreamz Film Festival may use footage from their projects in order to promote the festival, their film or the HDIFF Event via print, web and broadcast television. The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations. The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless Hollywood Dreamz Film Festival, its vendors, sponsors and supporters from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered.
Written Word Submission Rules
We are currently accepting written word submissions for features, shorts, short shorts, scenes, poetry, and prose.
All genres are welcome.
One copy of an original feature film screenplay uploaded as a PDF file will be accepted. (Do NOT include more than 1 version). We do not accept hardcopy scripts.
The screenplay should be in standard industry format (12 point Courier).
Only one copy, draft or version of any screenplay may be submitted by an entrant or entrants per submission.
Under no circumstances will substitutions of either corrected pages or new drafts of an entry screenplay be allowed under the original submission.
Corrected or edited screenplays must be resubmitted as a NEW entry and will require a separate submission fee.
Multi-part scripts should be submitted as separate, stand-alone screenplays.
Features that are over 120 pages must be submitted as 2 different entries.
Entry fees will not be returned or adjusted.
Submissions must have been written originally in English; translations will not be accepted.

Submissions must be the original work of the entrant(s) and may not be based, in whole or in part, on any other fiction or nonfiction material, published or unpublished, produced or un-produced.
Entries may, however, be adapted from the entrant’s (or entrants’) original work, which should be noted in the log line required on the application form.
Entries lacking a log line on the application form will be disqualified.
If the script is based on a true story, historical or contemporary, the "based on true story/events" button should noted in the logline.
Collaborative work by two writers who share equally in its creation is eligible.
The collaborator’s name must be added during the online application process.
