Himachal International Film Festival : Terms & Conditions for Participation

* Submitting Content
By participating in the Himachal International Film Festival (referred to as HIFF), filmmakers (hereafter referred to as "Participants") agree to submit their films, videos, media, captures, and all related materials (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Content") for consideration under the following terms and conditions.

* Age Requirements
There are no age restrictions for participation in HIFF. However, if a Participant is a minor (typically under 18 years old), they must obtain explicit consent from their parent or legal guardian to submit Content to the festival. The parent/guardian agrees to be bound by these terms on behalf of the minor and takes full responsibility for the submission.

* Content Requirements
Participants are solely responsible for their submitted Content under their name, user name, email address, password, and profile information. HIFF does not necessarily endorse or represent the views expressed in the Content.
HIFF reserves the right to remove any Content that is deemed abusive, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, racially, culturally, or ethnically offensive, harassing, threatening, discriminatory, or violates copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
Participants must ensure that their Content complies with all copyright and intellectual property laws, obtaining necessary clearances for music, sound, images, or graphics used in their entries.

* Copyright; Content Requirement Violations; Breach of Agreement
Participants may report any Content on the festival website that violates copyright or infringes upon the rights of others through the online contact form.

* Rights Granted to HIFF
By submitting Content, Participants grant HIFF the right to view, judge, and potentially screen the films at the awards night if they are among the top ten finalists. The festival may publish selected films on its website and Facebook page if chosen by the Participant during the entry process.
Participants retain ownership of their Content, and HIFF holds non-exclusive rights to the film during the festival. Participants are free to enter their films into other festivals while participating in HIFF.
After the awards night, HIFF may publish the films of Participants who have consented to publication on the festival website and possibly Facebook. Participants may request the removal of their film, and HIFF will remove the Content from its platforms within three working days.
HIFF reserves the right to include parts of Participants' films in promotional activities, such as showreels, advertisements, and presentations promoting the festival.

* Ownership
HIFF does not claim ownership of Participants' Content submitted to the festival. Participants retain all rights, title, and interest in their Content. Participants are responsible for protecting their hardware, software, and data from any damage while using the festival website.
Participants must own the rights to their Content and obtain necessary authorisations from owners for submission and compliance with this agreement.
* Indemnification
Participants agree to indemnify HIFF for any third-party claims arising from or related to their Content and use of the festival platform.
* Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Participants use HIFF's platform at their own risk. HIFF disclaims all liability for unauthorised use or Content violations.

* General
This Agreement, along with HIFF's Terms of Use, constitutes the entire agreement between Participants and the festival. HIFF may terminate this agreement with Participants' registration and usage rights at any time without prior notice.

Its jury is very experienced and they select the film after looking at the film in detail. Every film selected this year had a meaningful message for the society. I request the filmmakers of India and other countries to definitely submit their films in this festival. This festival is a very good platform for your film.
