Hatibu Madudu is a Social worker by profession & a film maker by ambition, for his Director debut, He wrote & directed a short film “Sukari” aims to trigger the conversation on the first three Sustainable Development goals through addressing youth economic hardship and the choices they opt to make. Sukari had its world premiere on the 21st Zanzibar International Film Festival in 2018 and was nominated to several International Festival Including The 26th Pan African Film and Television Festivals of Ouagadougou (Fespaco) 2019 and other festivals in Kenya, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Nigeria.
Hatibu Madudu also wrote "Mjumbe” drama series (Nominated for Kalasha International Tv& Film Festival 2021) aired 30 episodes on Azam two in 2020 and Uhai Tv in 2021 (Both channels broadcast in Azam decoder) as well as a writer and director of a “Black Film” the short film released in 2021 which has been submitted to number of festivals from May 2021 and it has been selected and screened on Manyatta film screening of August Edition 2021 in collaboration with Nuela Tv & Nominated for Kalasha International Tv& Film Festival 2021.
