HARASTOLEN

Tuberculosis sanatorium. Mental hospital. Reception centre for asylum seekers. Decay.

The 100 years old walls of Harastolen have seen it all. Now they tell their stories.

At the far end of the largest fjord in Norway, high up in the mountainside, lies a lonely gigantic building. 16,000 square feet.

Apart from the size, the decay is what hits you when you see it. Once it was a modern hospital and a seperate functional society.

Today, the only thing left is decaying walls and the stories of what they have seen.
