Colombian Burgers in the Land of Hamburgers
Jhon Bayron Peláez is a guy from Medellín-Colombia, who arrived in Miami 11 years ago with the purpose to start from zero his life. After a bankrupt and after losing his family because of the alcohol, he traveled to US with no money and now he is a successful fast food trucks businessman.
When he arrived in US, he wanted to taste the authentic American burger, but it was a fiasco because he did not like that burger. So, he declared that someday he will run up his own business to teach Americans how to eat an authentic “Paisa” hamburgers with Colombian flavors.
In this observational documentary, John tells us his story in the typical funny way that a typical “paisa” talks with jokes and anecdotes. Even though he is not able to speak in English, he has been able to manage his business with success. He teaches us how to prepare a “paisa” hamburger and viewers can watch him in action cooking and attending his clients in his trucks.
This is a completely inspirational documentary that shows how perseverance is the key of successful, and how the dreams come true.

Leonardo began on TV when he was 10 years old. His firsts experiences were as an actor and TV host in the most popular Colombian TV shows for children in the 80s, and then in the TV shows for teenagers in the 90s.
In the 2000s, he founded his own company focused in corporate communications solutions including production of corporative videos, linear edition and website design. He has specialized in digital journalism and media, and he has produced several multimedia and video contents for websites. He is the founder of the only Colombian magazine focused in audiovisual industries (Conexionista TV).
During 14 years, he has written about TV businesses, technology and new media for the main magazines and newspapers in Colombia, such as Revista Semana, Gerente and Diario La República.
Leonardo is also professor of digital journalism in Graduate and Undergraduate programs in the most prestigious Journalism college in Colombia.
