Global Youth Film Festival Bangladesh

ELIGIBILITY
• The film’s director(s) must have been between 12- 40 years old at the time of filming.
• All films must be subtitled in Bengali or English.
• There is no age limit or duration limit to submit in the "Open Category".

Online Submission only.

NOTIFICATION
If your film is selected to be a part of the Global Youth Film Festival Bangladesh 2024, you will be notified via email on or after November 30, 2023.
You will also be notified by email if your film is not selected.

Please make sure that you notify us if your email changes, and add cinemabangladesh@gmail.com to your safe sender email list.

FILMMAKER/GUARDIAN RELEASE
I acknowledge and agree that to the best of my knowledge, I am duly authorized to submit this film to the Global Youth Film Festival Bangladesh.

Films will be screened for a live viewing audience. Please, be aware that the press kit of the selected films may be used on multiple platforms including social media during pre-festival and post-festival events.

FAQ:
> What is the film selection process? Who watches them?
Answer: A versed team of Global Youth Film Festival Bangladesh curators watches every film that is submitted. Each film is watched by at least three people and then a decision is made by a final vote. Selection panelists rate films on voice, storytelling, filmmaking techniques, artistic excellence/merit, and general audience appeal.

> Can my film be screened publicly prior to the Global Youth Film Festival in Bangladesh?
Answer: Yes

> How can I submit my script? What are the regulations? what is the prize?
Answer: Create a script project in your FilmFreeway account and submit it to the festival.
Requirements:
1. Language: Either in English or Bengali
2. Synopsis (Up to 500 Words)
3. Writer/Director's Statement
4. Director's Biography & Filmography
5. Scripts from all genres are accepted.
The winning projects (One from Bangladesh and one International) will get the GRANT worth USD 2,000.

> If my film gets selected, will I be invited to the festival? If yes, what facilities will the festival provide for me?
Answer: Yes, you will be invited. The festival will provide food, accommodation and local transport for you. In some cases, the festival will provide a portion of airfare to a few filmmakers.

> Where is the entry form?
Answer: Upload your project to https://filmfreeway.com along with full information and a press kit. There is no need to fill up any entry form except by doing this.

> Do I get in for free?
Answer: If your film is accepted, yes. Every film that is accepted gets 2 complimentary All-Access Passes (including food and accommodation) to the Global Youth Film Festival Bangladesh.
