grydscaen: scout eve - "HoneyPot" (Episode 2)

grydscaen: scout eve anime web series Episode 2 based on grydscaen: psycho dive 1 manga by Natsuya Uesugi.

In episode 2, homeless hacker ROM (aka "Read Only Memory") infiltrates multinational bio-pharma corporation SenseNet ordered by hacker leader Faid Callen of the Packrats to find intel on a suspected conspiracy mysteriously killing psychic homeless teens and hackers in the slum-level Echelons. Faid suspects Parliament's recent crack down on "Article 15 Thought Crime Laws" is behind the mystery but he can't prove it and ROM's mission is to find the connection.

The grydscaen: scout eve anime web series is based on Natsuya Uesugi's Hollywood Book Festival Award-winning cyberpunk series "grydscaen." The anime web series elaborates on the story started in grydscaen: dark and picks up in an original story parallel to the thriller novel grydscaen: scout. Both of these titles written in 2017 before the events of 2020 and 2021.

The web series highlights some of the tactics hackers do on a daily basis, dumpster diving, stealing mail, phishing, sockpuppet fake account trolling social media, botnets and social engineering - all things of which mainstream society may not be aware. Natsuya pens stories to expose the cold truth and bring awareness to promote safety and protect the vulnerable.
