Grain of Sand
Grain of Sand is a documentary about the music and heritage of the Bahraini pearl divers through the eyes of British Musician Jason Carter. Follow Jason has he ventures into the cultural heart of Bahrain, exploring music as a platform for intercultural dialogue. Grain of Sand is an effort to shed light on the dying music of the pearl divers and asks poignant questions about identity, culture and heritage, in a region that has experienced development at a pace previously deemed impossible. The film also endeavors to bring 'good news' from a region currently rife with conflict.

British Guitarist Jason Carter has toured in more than 100 countries and recorded 18 albums. Jason has a passion for building bridges through music and has performed in places such as North Korea, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, China, Russia and Uzbekistan. Jason began his film career by making music videos and inevitably began using film to tell stories through music and narrative.
