Gregory Gotham Smith is originally from Rochester, NY, has a B.A in theater from William & Mary, and studied filmmaking and cinematography at Maine Media Workshops & College. Last fall, he began working on a master's in directing at the Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema at Brooklyn College. You're Not Allowed to Leave the Room is the third short he's submitted to festivals. His feature 3.14... premiered at the Rochester Fringe Festival and also screened at the Syracuse International Film Festival, the 12th Underground Cinema Film Festival Dublin, The Derby Film Festival, and the Berlin Independent Film Festival. It is currently available on Tubi, Apple TV, and Amazon. His short film The Encounter played last fall at the Telluride Horror Show, the Defy Film Festival in Nashville, and The San Sebastian Horror & Fantasy Film Festival. It is currently slated to play this year at the Chicago Horror Film Festival, The Six Feet Under Horror Festival in Colorado Springs, and The Boston Underground Film Festival.
