Ever since I watched Ed Wood at age twelve, I have been watching and making films non stop. My film YOU ARE A TOURIST became a semi-finalist in two national film competitions. In 2020 my film, La Mer, was selected to be a part of the Youth Arts Annual Summit at California College of the Arts.
A Lukewarm Western Fable, a stylized Western with a feminist twist, was my first narrative short film. I had shot the film on location for two days in August 2019, and completed post-production on it in 2020 after all of my plans for a new film project were cancelled due to the pandemic. Lukewarm received an Honorable Mention at the London International Monthly Film Festival in March 2021.
Night Vision is an experimental short musical film. Created entirely during the COVID pandemic, it was shot at night, in my house, for six days. My family became my crew, and we had to get very creative with a budget of $12. It premiered at the Los Angeles Alternative Film Expo in February 2021 and was an official selection at ArtShare LA's Comeback Fest in July 2021.
In August of 2021, both A Lukewarm Western Fable and Night Vision were Official Selections at the Newark International Youth Film Festival in New Jersey.
My filmmaking style explores character-driven, abstract, colorful, and genre-bending work focused on storytelling and emotional connection to the audience. Because creativity fuels everything I do, I find unique ways of bringing my singular vision to life. Some of my biggest inspirations include Tim Burton, David Lynch, Terry Gilliam, and Jeunet & Caro.
