Freya is a Filmmaker/ Lecturer based in Bristol who launched ‘boy and bear films’ in 2014 to develop her own diverse film projects. Since then she has completed BREAD AND BUTTER, NOT WAVING ( IShorts /Creative England), independent documentary HOW LUCKY? TERMINATED:TEETH&TINDER (Little Dot / Channel4 Random Acts) and SERVICES (BFI Network)
Freya is a Fulbright Scholar and Fellow of Syracuse University, NY where she completed her MFA in Fine Art Film. She set up an runs BA HONS Filmmaking (Production & Post Production) for boomsatsuma having led Filmmaking degrees at UWE_FILM and Uni of Glos. She was awarded a HEA National Teaching Fellowship in 2015, is on the Directors Board for ENCOUNTERS and IFA Bologna and consults at Institutions including NFTS, LFA and AARDMAN ACADEMY. Previous she worked as Post Production Supervisor for the BBC and as a freelance factual Editor, she has also run International filmmaking workshops for charities including C.A.S.T and PROJECT ZULU.
