Free From Skips
Free From Skips tells the story of Steven, a Leeds resident with two bachelor’s degrees who prepares his food from quality ingredients without paying for them. Instead, he and his flatmates find their food from the bins of a close by supermarket.
Two years ago Steven went skip diving with his friends out of curiousity, but he was overwhelmed by the amount of edible food thrown away. He even used to be a vegetarian but now eats a lot of quality meat found in bins, rather than letting it go to waste. Working as a social media manager for a homeless charity and as a volunteer at The Real Junk food Project, Steven tries to work against the social inequality and climate change effects caused by food waste.
“I might not be saving the world, but at least I’m not fucking it.”
